Time: Your Most Valuable Resource
You can’t stop it, store it, or buy it. You can’t save it, even though we think we can. It trickles away no matter what we’re doing, even while we sleep. It’s here and then it’s gone. Whether we like it or not, time doesn’t wait.
How have you been spending your time up until this point? Review where you’ve been. Think ahead to where you’d like to be. And, most important, don’t neglect the present.

Stop Waiting
It’s never the perfect time do anything, so stop waiting for the perfect time and simply do it now.
Pick a Goal
It’s hard to know where you’re headed if you don’t have a destination in mind. Pick something you want to achieve and develop a plan for achieving it. Write it out so you can see it right in front of you. Make smart decisions that support your progress toward your goal.
Stop Wasting Time
If you’re not careful and don’t manage it properly, your time can be eaten up by inconsequential things. This is especially true of when we let other people waste our time. Stay away from negative people. Your time is important, treat it that way and make sure other people do to.
Give of Your Time
Nothing is more generous than devoting your time to a worthy effort. When you help someone, or offer advice and guidance, you benefit not only the person you are assisting but yourself as well. Give time to your family and friends when they need you. But, in accordance with the tip above, be discriminating. Help those who need your help, not those who don’t want to do for themselves.
Be Yourself
Part of being yourself is discovering who you are. You need to understand yourself, who you are, and what goals you have, before you can attempt to understand others.
Don’t Hesitate
When you’re young, it might seem you have all the time in the world. But before you know it, 10 or 20 or 30 years will be behind you. You never know when your number might be called. Relish each day, make each moment count as much as possible.
There is power in every instant. Decide now that you’re going to live as fully as your can. Be true to yourself and those around you. Remember the past, plan for the future, but live in the present. Each positive moment you build now with contribute to more positive moments in the future.
