Top Two Secret Weight Loss Tips
So you want to lose some weight? Really want to burn body fat? I’m going to tell you the top two super-ultra-top-secret weight loss tips. Are you ready?
- Exercise more
- Eat less
I bet you’ve heard these tips before, so maybe they’re not as secret as I’m saying.
If you are totally inactive, just start doing something. Just about anything will do; walking, riding a bike, light lifting…. just get up and start doing something. If you’re already involved in a training regime, look at options for increasing the intensity – doing more exercise in less time.
Studies have shown that more frequent more intense exercise is more beneficial than those of longer duration but less effort. Maybe you can take less rest between sets, or add a few more reps or weight to the bar, or run just that tiny bit quicker.
Another option here is to break your training into smaller, more frequent workouts of less than 60 minutes each. So maybe a split, upper body in the morning and lower in the afternoon, or cardio in the morning and resistance in the afternoon. There are a lot of options here.
Now on to the second super secret tip: Eat Less. Obvious, isn’t it? At its simplest, it means to take in fewer calories than you expend. If you do that, guess what? You’ll lose weight. Usually.
See, the body wants and needs calories, but even more important than that, it wants and needs nutrition. If you’re eating food that aren’t nutrient rich, you’re body will want more of them, which translates to more calories as well.
Maybe this should be Eat More instead of Eat Less, as in Eat More
- nutrient rich foods
- fruits and vegetables
- organic foods
- lean meats
- fish
- nuts
These foods are rich in nutrients. When you’re eating healthy servings of them, you won’t be as hungry because your body will be getting the nutrients it needs. It’s not just about eating less, it’s about eating the right type of food.
Exercise and nutrition – the two secrets to weight lose and health.
