Slo-Niacin Side Effects

Thought you should know about a side effect of taking Niacin I experienced known as flushing.

The first few times I took the Slo-Niacin, anywhere from 10 – 60 minutes after taking the pill, my whole face, head and upper body would get tingly and warm, almost to the point of being itchy. It was like I’d rubbed myself with Ben Gay or Icy Hot. Not unpleasant, but very noticeable.

I think the effect peaked with the fourth dose (evening dose on the second day).  My whole body felt tingly, almost burning, and my skin was ultra-sensitive. It lasted about 30 minutes or so and was so intense it actually interfered with me falling asleep.

Since that time, the side effect has been diminishing, to the point where most of the time I don’t feel anything.

Just so you know….
